performance workshop

– ARTISTS IN ACTION

with Victoria Libertore

Tuesdays  |  November 2-30  |  7:00-9:30 pm

$125.00 for workshop  |  No drop-ins

Develop your own performance piece using Victoria Libertore’s unique method of archetypal energy work.

In this five-week workshop, you will learn a foundation for creating an original performance using tools of physical theatre, archetypal energy, intuition, character exploration and imagery.  Each participant creates original material and builds on it from week to week.  There will be group exercises as well as time for each person to present work.  All types of performers are welcome:  solo, collaborations, text-based and movement-based.  The workshop will be a safe and warm environment for you to express your creativity and walk away with performance-ready material.  All levels of experience are welcome.  Whether you are a novice that is new to making your own creative work or a pro that wants to refine your skills, you will benefit from these tools and from watching each other’s journeys as artists in action.  Maximum of eight participants.

Victoria Libertore (Howling Vic) teaches performance using her distinct approach of archetypal energy work.  She has taught sold-out Goddess Burlesque and Performance Workshops at Brooklyn Arts Exchange/BAX, Grove Mama Ink, Dance New Amsterdam as well as  independently.  She worked with Six Figures Theatre Company teaching workshops in the Viewpoints technique, has taught improv and one-on-one hula hoop lessons.  Libertore worked for eight years teaching performance, showmanship and how to interact with audiences at an international hands-on science museum.
