HOW IT WORKS
Using a combination of natural and studio lighting, these shoots will be a creative collaboration with you. Bring yourself or your small group, a few changes of clothes (solid colors that are not black or white work best!) and whatever make-up you want (or don’t want) to wear.
YOU WILL GET
After your half-hour portrait session, a downloadable online gallery (approximately 150 photos) will be delivered to you within one week along with a 30% discount coupon towards beautiful black & white and color prints (available framed and unframed) and holiday cards featuring your images. (You will get instructions with the link to the online gallery.)
A benefit event. All proceeds benefit the programs and events at BAX/Brooklyn Arts Exchange.

Twenty Years of Teaching and Learning
Sunday, January 9, 2011 at 4pm
For BAX’s 20th Birthday Season, alumni, faculty, current and former resident artists provide a striking curatorial dynamism. They have pulled from their experiences and interests at and beyond BAX. As a group they represent BAX’s past, present and future.
Directed by Jesse Phillips-Fein, Beyond BAX features some of the hundreds of alumni and faculty (current and former) of BAX/Brooklyn Arts Exchange along with current students of BAX’s Dance Performance Workshop Level 3. These artists will perform a collaborative work exploring the meanings and memories of teaching and learning at BAX.
Using their bodies and their voices these artists re-create images and memories of BAX. They explore how BAX has supported and nourished their process of creating, teaching, and learning. Above all, they are sharing how BAX continues to influence their lives through their heads, hearts, feet, and everything in between.
Don’t miss this special celebration of the unique way in which BAX educates and nurtures teachers and learners featuring: Charlie Colon, Donna Costello, Nasrene Haj-Yehia, Kelly Healy Amores, Andrew Jannetti, Rachel Lane, Kate Lieberman, Calia (Nicki) Marshall, Pene McCourty, Linda Mensch, Becky Pearl, Jesse Phillips-Fein, Amy Beth Schneider, Ellynne Skove, Emma Skove-Epes, Helen Tocci, Diane Tomasi, and a few other special surprise guests.
